Centralized Admission Process (CAP) Workflow
Applicable for all engineering diploma admissions in the State of Maharashtra.
Polytechnic engineering admissions for the academic year 2026–2027 are conducted strictly through the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) supervised by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra. Seat allotment is automated on the basis of candidate SSC merit score, category reservation, and college choice codes submitted during the online preference round.
Major Sequential Stages of CAP:
Registration: Online registration and document upload on official DTE Maharashtra portal.
Document Verification: E-Scrutiny or Physical Scrutiny confirmation at designated Facilitation Centers (FC).
Provisional Merit List: Publishing of preliminary state merit rank and redressal of student grievances.
Final Merit List: Release of confirmed state and category merit numbers for option filling.
Option Form Submission: Online preference entry of college choice codes (PPCOE DTE Code: 5667).
Seat Allotment Round I: System allotment based on merit rank and choice list; seat acceptance fee payment.
Institute Reporting: Physical verification of original certificates and fee submission to confirm admission.
Subsequent CAP Rounds: Conduct of CAP Round II and Round III for vacancy up-gradation and unallotted candidates.
Candidates failing to complete FC verification or failing to report to the allotted institute within the specified deadline will forfeit their claim on the allotted seat. Keep mobile alerts and registered email active throughout the CAP schedule.
